Wishlist: The 300 ectos themselves.
My IGN: Mister Stranger/Blooded Cure
My reason is simple: Around the end of Wintersday, I want to give to the community which has made Guild Wars so wonderful for me for these past few years. I plan to go to tons of different outposts and hand out 200 of the ecto to people I see. As for the other 100, it's going to someone special. One of my very close IRL friends has "quit" GW (even though he has a tendency to come back sometimes). In the event that he DOES come back, the other 100 ecto will be going to him as he's thrown away everything he had. He was one of the reasons I joined GW, and I haven't really given him too much thanks. If he never comes back, I'll just hand out the other 100 ecto like the other 200.

For a Special Someone
Wish list: Unded Mini Bone Dragon/ Mini Kuunavang or what ever ecto's you see fit <(^_^)>
My Reason: To Give to the Person that means a lot to me, and has had countless hours of good time with me, and made Gw special for me.
IGN: Yuffie Kisaragi Xx
Well were do i start, im not much of a poet or very creative but hey ill say it how it comes.
well one day in may i was walking around in pre searing, and seen a guy recruiting for a guild to help new comers. i decided to take up that challenge and join up, i got to know the folks talked had a laugh etc, then a young lady was recruited into the guild, and now y'all know how first impressions go. But anywho after talking to her for a while we went out and done some quests and what not, talked some more and had loads of fun ^_^, it was her first time playing guild wars and at the time i had played for 2 years, so i decided to take her under my wing and help her along and explain the stuff she wasnt sure about to her. y'no help with her build, armor, weapons and help her on the quests and missions. but anyway for the next 2-3 weeks we got online everyday to chat and play about in guild wars, it was great, we would work on her ranger, and my monk (we decided to lvl up together) or we would help out fellow Guild members and if we weren't playing we'd be sitting in the Guild Hall Chatting away on Skye, or in game. we grew close quick, got to know each other and became great friends, we pretty much spent everyday with each other from May - August, chatting away for hours, sharing problems and just making each other smile, i Left the guild we were after i had been approached about our relationship, and told not to bring personal life onto Guild wars and that i was dragging her down and ruining her Guild wars time. i wasn't going to give her up for a guild, so i said my good byes to the guild and left, she stayed, and is still there to this day, but we still keep in contact and play together. Now end of August came, i started a new job and move, and she had to move house, so therefore no internet. now take into consideration i live in Ireland and her in America, so communication was pretty hard as it was, but we kept in touch through letters, an email now and then, and i tried phoning her but either she was out or i was gone or one of us were asleep but we tried, October came... and yet a further problem, i had to go to Vienna, Austria. for work, i couldn't turn it down but i didn't wanna leave her, after all we went through, i was afraid of losing her, i finally realized i fell in love, i was shocked, i never in a million years thought it was possible for me to fall in love with someone Ive never even met before, but it was for definite. well i got chatting to her, by chance and we had a long conversation and we told each other how we felt about one another, i was as shocked as she was haha, but that day and after talking with her, i was the happiest fella in the world, but she and i both knew that i had to go to Vienna to work, and i didnt have the money to get a laptop to use over there for the next 6 weeks, we chatted on skype for what we knew was gonna be the last time for a while, it really was the hardest conversation of my life, she cried some, was hardest thing for me ever, my stomach turned when i she cried, but i had to be strong, crack a few jokes make her smile just reassure her it wasn't the end of us.
the night of the flight me nor her could get to a computer, but we already guessed that would happen so we had previously said our goodbyes, just in case. That night i couldn't sleep a wink, i lay in my bed gazing at a picture or her that i kept in my wallet, for the whole night i lay there wondering what would become, will we ever work with each other? would we actually get to meet, would we spend the rest of our lives together?17th of October... 6am came,... Sunrise, i went out to a hill just behind the back of my house and sat under an old oak tree, i rolled a cigarette and lay back with the morning sun gazing on my face and a fresh morning breeze around me. the birds singing, the branches shaking and the whistle of the wind through the fresh green dewy grass, i went back inside to do the last minute things to prepare for the trip ahead of me. time came to get the bus and away i went, on the road to Dublin, i kept reaching for my wallet and staring into Olivia's beautiful eyes in the picture, it was the only picture of her that i had, she meant the world to me and this trip wasn't gonna change a thing. i caught my plane with a feeling of anxiety, i guess i was kinda scared and nervous too, it wasn't the thought of flying or going to a completely different country, it was the fact that i was gonna have 6 long hard weeks without her company, her voice and her comfort. the whole flight to Vienna i thought about her, how she'd be when i was back, what would change. but anyway to cut a very long story shortish i found me a internet cafe which i was delighted with, the computer were in German and the keyboard was a little bit different and the guy behind the counter couldn't speak English and i couldn't speak German, which made matters hard but i managed, i emailed her keeping her up to date letting her know i wasn't up to any mischief ^_^ and making sure she was ok. our 7 days a week contact was shut down to maybe 1 email a week, due to lack of money on my side and long distance traveling to work. last day in Vienna, 20th of November, was probably the longest of them all. i couldn't wait to get home to get chatting to her, i got in the door, threw my bags down and rushed to the computer to see if she was on, i was in luck there she was, i was over the moon, i was slightly nervous about talking to her, but i went for it, we sat and spoke for ages it was fantastic, we had a proper catch up, she was worried in case i hooked up with any girls in Vienna but i didn't, i stayed loyal, i had told her i would wait for her and she the same, wasn't even hard never crossed my mind once to mess around with any other girls, the guys i lived with must of got sick of my stories about her ha ha but i didn't mind, thinking about her made me smile and feel happy. after a few hours of chatter we finally had to cut it at that and go to our beds and finish up the next day. till this day we have regular chat, as often as we both can, we still play about in guild wars, were working on the mini moa bird at the minute, i guess you can say we both collect mini's we help each other out loads, and anyone else that needs a hand. she and i still have plans to meet up, and move somewhere together once we get some money together, she has made the last few months of my life and GW life fantastic, dunno how ive managed without here, but yea this is getting a little long so ill cut it short here, don't wanna write a novel i could keep going and going, But yea id love a mini bone dragon or a Kuunavang so as i could give to her for Christmas, she loves dragons but i don't have enough money in Guild Wars to get her one, so it would be a nice surprise for her and put a nice big smile on her face. her IGN is Cira Wayland if ya wanna check my story out,
but thanks for this opportunity, it was fun writing about her brought back alot of good memories.
happy holidays all
and good luck to y'all
Peace out
Danny

My wishlist: Everlasting Transform Tonics worth <300 ectos.
One certain person I met in Guild Wars is named Daniel in real life. Why he is special is because he always trust what I'm doing and help with anything. One verry special time was when my account was banned during the dupingperiod. I was not guilty for any exploit or duping. And I told him that my account was banned to him, then he e-mailed A-net with wise words and got my acc back within 3 days.

Wish : 105 + 70e (for shards) for Mes FoW armor
I guess my very first guild that I was guild leader of and I had 3 people that always helped me even though I was sometimes demanding but we always had fun doing all elite areas and missions of the game. We always helped each other and helped build a nice guild/friendships until they all quit GW.
That was the most fun I had playing GW with a good bunch of friends and not really caring about how much money/ectos/etc we have. I find the playing with friends part much more enjoyable and it's what what that keeps my interest in the game. Unfortunately it's kind of hard to find great friends but I've made some new friends in PvP after about a year of playing. What was good about the original set of friends was that they were regular players, made jokes, took the game as a way to relax (I sometimes took it a bit more seriously than others) and general had fun.

My Best Friend
Today I found a friend,
Who knew everything I felt.
He e knew my every weakness,
And the problems I've been dealt.
He understood my noobisism,
And I listened to my Monk (him).
He listened to how I felt about life and GW,
And knew what it all means
I met a friend called Rasta By Nature (IGN) and we did some missions in HM and joined the same guild and we lived happily ever after and we still do.
I need 75 Globe of Ectoplasm for Chaos Gloves on my Warrior.
Thanks in advance!

I would like to win any amount of ectos, because one is always better than none.
The person that I will always remember that I met in Guild Wars is "Fira Flama". I first met her when I joined a very small new guild and she was already a part of it. She greeted me with a very warm welcome and was always willing to help me or anyone in need. When we played together we had a lot of fun making jokes and just talking about random thing in real life or about the game. Sure this made some missions take much longer than they should, but this didn't bother us because we were just having a good time. We are still playing together in the guild we met, but now I would like to try and start my own guild with her as my first officer.
If I were to win then I would use the money to start my guild and get all the NPC's in the hall which I would never be able to get without a helping hand. If I got the full hall and still had money I would give it to Fira Flama, because if i did win it would have been thanks to her.

i would just like an emerald blade q9-12 for my war as i have wanted one the whole time that they have been out in this game, if u cant find an emerald blade a few ecto to help me buy 1 myself would be greatly appreciated.
The person that inspired me during my time of playing GW would have to be my one of my fellow guildies Wurm Witch. He is always willing to help others out and is constantly organising guild activities "bondage" if i may say so. Also he is a very nice and warm hearted in the alliance and tteam chats. He is one of those players that you just love to play the game with. If more people were like Wurmy then GuildWars would be a much more enjoyable game for everyone who plays and is starting out playing.
By The Way everyone i have been greatly inspired myself reading all of your posts.
good luck everyone and have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Wish: A little help buying someone who has everything an awesome gift. r9 Heal Compass (it's like 80ish ecto.)
Shortly after the factions preview weekend I decided Guild Wars wasn't for me anymore, and I quit. I kept up with the updates and such but never had any inspiration to play. I pre-ordered factions, actually got the collectors edition, and ended up pre-ordering Nightfall as well. Through this time I lost contact with a lot of the people I used to play with. My original guildmates, the people I had met while pugging still existed and even a few real life friends that I had played with. I came back shortly after NF, and I milled around GW for the longest time before I guild hopped my way over to Reapers Bane and met the three reasons why I play GW now. Cressen Flamecaller, Kory Quist, and Arien Elentari.
The earlier two in those list have moved onto other games or have gone to college and can't play as much as we used to, but we all three keep in contact making sure that we make an attempt to message everyday. The last person in the list though, I had met running to droks on my ranger. I had just finished nightfall and stolen the R/D Forge build off gwwiki (Before pvxwiki existed) and decided that I wanted to re-new my interest in joining the Running Rangers, when I met Arien. I was still kinda new to the game, I thought 15K armor was really expensive, and to be truthful I hadn't completed a campaign on my own without a ton of help. While running we talked a lot, andI ended up recruiting him to my guild. We ran droks together, him on his warrior and me on my ranger, almost everyday, and he even did quests and missions with me cause I'm a nub at pve. ;P
After a while, he ended up leaving after a while to create a guild with friends, and I made him promise to keep talking to me. Over time he showed him his shiny new HA rank whenever he got it, and we'd always go to fisherman's haven to an empty district and sit on the island with storage and talk~ I'd always say "gz" to him when I knew he had won halls. He even let me lead the party once so my name would show up when we won. ^^; He always listened to my stories on vent, and helped me through real life stuff when I didn't have anyone else. He even spoils me and talks to me in French cause he knows it's my favorite language. He taught me about HA, and explained any question I had, he'd obs my matches if they were ever up and tell me what I could do to improve. He's gotten me into GvG when I thought it was too late in the game and he's always gotten me things for different holidays, or sometimes just random gifts, and I've never had the gold to pay him back.
He's someone who has everything kinda, FoW on every character, GWAMM title, everything r9 and perfectly modded, all the really expensive cool skins, and enough gold/ecto to buy anything in the game. This time around I have a bit more money to my name, and I'd like to get him something really nice for xmas instead of resorting to drawing him another picture of one of his characters, and I just need that tiny bit of extra money for that shiny item that I can give him this year. <3

As much as I can receive.
Wishlist- Mini Ghostly Hero
I just got my computer back, gonna start on GWEN soon.
I love the guild XoO, battled them at a GvG battle but got beat. They are an extremely well team. I believe you have heard of the guild GCon (not sure). If I am correct they're were/are a couple of members from GCon that moved to XoO.
I would love to thanks my guild members especially Milana Kesan (IGN) aka Kwith for allowing me to join the Guild even when I was just a beginner. Also all the other members of the guild which made me a better player. They gave me many memorable moments especially in GvG. Another person, I appreciate is my friend who I started the game with. The moments were unbelievable we did Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall with henchies and heros. We've both stopped playing due to my computer break down. Now that it is fix, we are planning on completing GWEN. It has been a blast playing with him and my guild members. My friends IGN is Cap of Pen. IRL friend. Got good playing with each other, our teamwork is exceptionally well though no one ever pays attention to how well we work. (Played for 2 years, almost 3 years) Hope you thought my Guild Wars playing time was interesting.
I would love to win the prize though I am wishing everyone a Merry Christmas even if I don't win.

Thank you all for everything so far. It's wonderful to see that so many people have shared a part of their online experience with others and have let themselves be inspired. Keep the entries coming; there's 8 days left until Christmas!
I'd also like to take a moment to recognize something wonderful that a peer is doing:

In true fashion of a good person, they are having an excellent giveaway for the holiday season. I recommend you check it out if you haven't, and enter yourself in their contest!

Wish list: however many purple globs you can spare. I would split it with my friend who reminded me of the joys of this game.
My inspiration to play this game, and to play it well is one of my friends in real life. I started playing when I made this account over 3 years ago now. My first character was an elementalist. But i won't elaborate on that. I got my best friend into the game several months after me, and then down the road another one of my friends bought and played into the game. This first friend whined and complained about everything the game had to offer. How it was too hard, how he had no money. So my first friend and I spoiled him. Helped him out at the low levels with our level 20s, lent him money, and essentially made him a bad player. (figures his character choice was a w/mo.) We realized the monster we had created and vowed not to make the same mistake again.
Now, enter another friend of mine who got into the game just last summer. He bought the Prophecies/GWEN pack and didn't power to Lions Arch to level in GWEN. He played the game at his own pace. He tried to find PUGs in the low level areas to do the missions and watched the cutscenes. He even turned down help when he was having a tough time. Him doing what he did made me realize how much of a joy the game was to play the first time though. The story was quirky, yet interesting enough to try and follow what happens. He didn't have any heroes, tried to PUG when he could, and used a full team of henchmen when needed. Trial and error was his planning and fun was his main goal, not necessarily that of the mission/quest he was on.
Seeing my friend have such a ball playing the game the way it was meant to be played made me realize how much I had missed powering through the campaigns with different classes trying to get to the high end areas and farming. To satisfy that longing of involvement I hadn't felt since I made my way through the game the first time, I recently just made a pre-sear necro, the only class I haven't played as either as a primary or secondary. To be honest, it felt like the first time I stepped into pre-searing and the wonders of a MMO. (GW was my first of this type of game.)
If selected, I would split my prize with my friend who so easily gave me the feeling of unboxing GW for the first time and yet has asked for nothing in return.
hmm, just reread the conditions.
my ign is Cassandra Covzer
my friend's name is Ryou Daisan.

This is a Poem i wrote for the love of my life ( im 29 ). i met her in LA dis 1 asking for ppl to do the villany quest, then she joined my team and we started talking. Then she told me that she lived in a town very nearly mine, we did some quests together and chatted alot, then we started meeting each other. in town and such, then for 4 month ago i wrote thise poem for her:
all evening he waited
anxiously eyeing the clock
retracing his steps
over and over
counting the minutes
until her arrival
kneeling before a crackling fire
adding another log
he rose to check again
his preparations for tonight
the thick sheepskin rug
lay lovingly spread before the flames
waiting for her
the book
the one she longed after
in that tiny shop downtown
rested on the warm stone hearth
waiting for her
the wine
that special bottle
from a few years ago
late fall harvest
sat open
and sweet
waiting for her
the glasses
his best crystal
sat sparkling in the firelight
waiting for her
his hand
stopped a moment
over his heart
and lovingly fingered
the prize there
hidden away in his pocket
where it lay
waiting for her
taking the ring
from its secret place
he gazed at it
mesmerized by its shine
by what it stood for
soon he smiled and
softly slipped it back
to its repose
where it lay
waiting for her
seating himself back on the chair
he resumed his vigil
over the fire
over the wine
over the clock
over himself
and he sat
quiet and lost in thought
waiting for her.
That was the end ^
Dont know if you like it or anything, but it means everything 2 me. (:

Just.nl's Wishlist:
-> Some things for my Monk's FoW Armor.
-> Ecto's (I could use for my FoW)
-> Something that could be usefull on my monk.
I had never had lots cash on Guildwars. So i liked to win some, to get Monk FoW armor. If i got that i'm really happy with it. I'm saving for it, but its isnt going so fast at all.I aint so rich like i'd said already.
But i'm a bit lonely in my guild.. I dont got FoW armor, and the others of my guild got. Or got lots of elite armors.
I only got 3 Elite armors. So you know i'm lonely now
I aint got expensive weapons like Tormented/Destroyer etc.
So it would be lovely to have one, for some people it is not so expensive, but for me really really.
I think you could make a poor player more happy than a player that got already some FoW sets.
So evryone good luck with this event

Poem for my great friend
Oof the wishlist uhmm let me think:
Eternal blade req9
Mursaat hammer req9 15> 50
Obsidian Edge req9
or the 300 ecto
At first I met you so long ago
A brave young hero
At first you sheltered under my wing
But soon your true power was revealing
You ascended above me wich made me proud
There you stood as leader bold and stout
Then you took me in and led me on
And I really miss you now your gone
We triumphed over the Virtual Dragons
Made friends with the Everfrosts
I will never forget that day we met
You raised my spirit, yes you bet
The Afterlife warriors
stood proud with you
If we would get together again
There would be nothing we couldn't do

I write this for a person I met about 2 months ago while playing GW with a couple of friends, her name is Jukai Ji. I used to play a lot with two warriors I met in my first guild ever and they introduced me to their friend and neighboor Jukai Ji. She turned out to be a 37 year old woman, which she was reluctant to tell at first. Imaginable since a lot of people in this game start making fun of women whenever they spot one.
One month after we met in-game I decided to hop on a train and give her and the other two guys a visit in real life, to see what kind of people they really were. The guys turned out to be 35 an 40 year old guys, brothers actually, two of the most hilarious people I've met in my whole 21 year long life.
Jukai Ji however was a complete other story.. she turned out to be a 37 year old woman, very small and very nice. However she's using a walking stick to move around since she's rheumatic, and this will prolly only get worse. She also had a 6 year old boy that got addicted to guild wars after I played it with him for 2 hours *evil laugh*. I would like to wish Jukai a merry christmas and lots of love and luck in the rest of her life, and I'll certainly visit her again!
